Plan to carpool from Office Max at 103rd and State Line.

Program: We are headed to Powell Gardens. Plan to stay for lunch in the Garden Cafe, where there will be a selection of fresh foods at affordable prices. You will want to browse the Garden Gift Shop, where you will find so many desirable garden related items. Feel free to include husbands, relatives, and friends. We would like a head count and an idea of who is willing to drive. The senior fare paid at the gate is $7.00. The adult admission is $8.00.

Second Saturday Socializers

Program: Second Saturday Socializers is a group for singles who are interested in joining together for friendship on the 2nd Saturday each month to take in an event, go to a movie, tryout a new restaurant. Come to the first meeting with ideas, and we will put together a calendar of activities. Ideally, event times should be Saturday evening - 6:00 pm or later.

Lucinda Rice-Petrie (Mu 1966), chairman of the Delta Gamma Foundation Lectureship in Values & Ethics at Mizzou, enthusiastically invites you to be part of this very special event.
Since 1999, the lectureship has provided a speaker, free-of-charge, to all University of Missouri students (ticket required.) Past presenters include a prestigious list: Homer H. Hickam. Jr. (October Sky), Patricia Russell-McCloud (A Is For Attitude From A-Z), Mitch Albom (Tuesdays With Morrie), Herman Boone (Remember the Titans inspiration), Jerry Greenfield (Ben & Jerry's), Antwoine Fisher (Finding Fish),
Sylvia Nasar (A Beautiful Mind), Dr. Sally Ride (astronaut), Ronan Tynan, M.D. (double amputee, Paralympics Gold Medalist, obstetrician-gynecologist, tenor, former member of the Three Irish), Chris Gardner (The Pursuit Of Happyness), Jeff Corwin (environmentalist and sustainability advocate), and Joan Brock (Mu Chapter's Centennial Speaker, More Than Meets The Eye).
This year’s speaker is award-winning journalist, Lisa Ling. Lisa’s sister, Laura Ling, was just released from prison in North Korea.
Admission is free to students with valid student ID (ticket required.) Others may purchase tickets for $10 at Jesse Hall.

A docent-guided tour will highlight the Museum's history and key pieces in the collection. Don't miss this opportunity to connect with friends old and new and renew your commitment to Delta Gamma.
